Professional Summary
Andrew Kozma specializes in network and infrastructure Cybersecurity. In the public-sector Andrew was responsible for developing information security policies, standards and procedures along with their implementation and management across Nova Scotia’s largest healthcare district. Additionally, as a member of the Electronic Health Record provincial workgroup Andrew contributed directly toward the electronic health records security requirements associated with the Nova Scotia Personal Health Information Act. As Co-founder of Atlantic Canada’s largest security conference AtlSecCon and the Halifax Area Security Klatch Andrew is heavily involved in improving the information security community and is regarded highly by his peers for his technical expertise.

Experience
  From 2017 to present Andrew as Team Lead of Security Architecture Services has worked on several information security mandates that focus on cyber security architecture assessments and information security management reviews.  Further, Andrew has assisted organizations in developing information security management systems, performing IT risk assessments and infrastructure analysis.

From 2014 to 2016, as Team Lead for an Active Response Centre Andrew has contributed to the architecture design and the implementation of incident response and incident handling formultiple clients.

  From 2007 to 2014 Andrew worked for Nova Scotia’s largest healthcare district. He was responsible for all aspects of information security from policy to technology and designed and implemented a defense in depth security model for healthcare services. Additionally, Andrew participated in shared services working groups contributing to an enterprise architecture model for the province of Nova Scotia.

  From 2002 to 2007 he worked in aviation as a Senior Network Architect and was responsible for all routers and switches that formed the network core as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless and security into the network. Andrew also implemented security controls and solutions to meet the compliancy requirements of Sarbanes Oxley before the organizations Initial Public Offering.
 From 1999 to 2002, A manufacturing company employed Andrew as a Technical Analyst. He worked as key member of a support team that was responsible for network upgrades and provided end user technical support for the user community within Canada the United States and Hong Kong.
